Using Tags

Overview

Tags help you organize and filter filings. You can create custom tags and apply them manually, or let the AI auto-tagging system categorize filings automatically.

Creating Tags

  1. Navigate to My Tags in the sidebar
  2. Click Create Tag
  3. Enter a tag name
  4. Choose a color for the tag
  5. Click Save

Applying Tags to Filings

On any filing page, click the tag icon on a filing row to add or remove tags. You can apply multiple tags to a single filing.

AI Auto-Tagging

New filings are automatically analyzed and tagged by AI based on their content. The system supports 40 tag categories. Common auto-tags include:

  • Merger Announcement / Acquisition Announcement — M&A activity
  • Leadership Change — Executive transitions
  • Earnings — Financial results
  • Spin-off / Distribution — Corporate separations
  • Odd-Lot Tender — Equity issuer tender offers with odd-lot priority
  • Take Private — Going-private transactions
  • IPO — Initial public offerings
  • Share Buyback — Stock repurchase programs
  • Bankruptcy — Insolvency proceedings
  • SPAC — SPAC mergers and de-SPACs
  • Loan/Debt Announcement — Financing and debt offerings
  • Legal Proceedings / Legal Settlement — Litigation and regulatory matters
  • CVR — Contingent value rights

Filtering by Tags

On any filings page, use the tag filter to show only filings with specific tags. This is especially useful for tracking themes across multiple companies.
